irina prieto botella
Irina Prieto Botella is a musician and composer, born in 1987 in Barcelona.
Parallel to her classical piano studies, she developed a passion for music in the image at a very early age by signing the score of several films directed by her father, an artist-director who passed on his love of cinema to her. Driven by an insatiable curiosity for all musical genres and currents, she left her piano studies to turn to Musicology at the Catalan School of Music. Settled in Paris, where she still lives today, Irina enrolled at the Conservatoire de Levallois and at the University of Paris VIII, where she studied Jazz arrangement, electroacoustic composition, sound recording and mixing ... and attended numerous masterclasses by Bruno Coulais, Carlo Crivelli, José Nieto and many others. So many encounters and acquired knowledge that confirm her decision: she will be a composer for Cinema. Winner of the Émergence competition in 2015, Irina composes the music for her first feature film "Forêt Debussy" by Cheng-Chui Kuo, in collaboration with Evgueni Galperine. Since then, she has written the score for numerous short fiction films, documentaries and experimental films, all of which have nurtured a very personal style that can only flourish in the only playground she has chosen since adolescence, that of the image. |
